CourseGraphic Secondary Jazz Band:   Open to students going into Grade 9 through 12 in September 2024.  A minimum of one-year experience on your instrument is required. Playing experience in a jazz band is an asset but not a prerequisite. No audition required. Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis. Space for each jazz band instrument section is limited to ensure a functional and enjoyable experience for the students.
Please make sure your own instrument, equipment, and accessories are functional and appropriate for playing with a jazz band.  For rhythm section instruments, equipment will be available on site. Rhythm section players will need to bring their own sticks, patch cords and personal accessories.  An instrument rental session with local music stores may be available on site at the start of the program for those who would like to take advantage of such an opportunity.
To cover the cost of music books and supplies, there will be a $35 material fee charged for this course upon registration.
