Thinking about learning a new skill this summer, why not try sewing? In this hands-on course, you will be learning and building on basic sewing skills such as using a sewing machine, sewing straight and curved seams, using a serger, cutting fabric, reading a pattern, and using a pattern. The first week you will be refreshing our skills by sewing a set of pattern weights and a reusable grocery bag. The last two weeks will be self-directed with the students choosing their projects and putting their skills to use. Upcycling and creativity are encouraged!
To cover the cost of materials, there will be a $35 materials fee charged at the time of registration.
