Contemporary Indigenous Studies 12 is an online course which will explore the issues the Indigenous Peoples of Canada and other countries are facing, the history behind them and how they and we can address them.
This course will discuss the following topics:

Self-Determination and Advocacy

Reconciliation and Healing
Grades for this course will be calculated through learning guides, projects and activities, and in-class assignments.

Students have one year from registration to complete this self-paced online course and must complete 5% in the first month. Learning takes place through Brightspace lessons, discussions, and email communication, and students can meet their teacher for orientation and learning support at the Coquitlam Learning Opportunity Centre (CLOC), located near Coquitlam Centre.
