Centennial - Learning Strategies for Success - Grade 9/10 AM

In this practical skill building course, students will be introduced to a wide variety of learning strategies, to help them reach their unique academic goals. Students will learn performance driven skills such as efficient note taking, SMART goal setting, effective communication, and test preparation. This student-centered course will utilize a comprehensive approach that will feature Social Emotional Learning techniques to promote success. Students will have the opportunity to identify their own personal learning styles and discover ways that they can incorporate their own strengths into their educational plan. This course will benefit learners with various abilities and promote resilience both inside and outside the classroom.
