This course combines areas from the LA, Arts and ADST curriculum to synthesize the text from a novel, and have the students re-tell that story using a movie making app (typically iMovie on the iPad). In the process, small groups students do literature circles to help gain deeper understanding of the plot points, and then they write their own scripts based off of that collected information. Throughout the process they will make props, gather costumes, and scout filming locations that would best help in their recreation of the story. Once it is all filmed, they will go to the editing process where they add sound effects, slow-motion, credits, and any other flourishes to make their finished product a master piece. On the last day, families are invited in for our ''movie premiere'' where all the creations are screened.
